Jewish Federation of Cincinnati Shared Business Services: Accounting and Fiance
The Accounting Intern will be a member of the Shared Business Services (SBS) team within the Jewish Federation of Cincinnati. SBS provides a full range of accounting, finance, and human resource services for nonprofit agencies, congregations, and schools. The Accounting Intern will interact with the SBS team as well as client agencies on accounting needs and tasks.
This position description is intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed. It is not intended to be an exhaustive list of all responsibilities, duties and skills required of personnel in the above position.
Some of the duties are as follows:
Daily processing of accounting transactions.
Perform month-end journal entries and general ledger account reconciliations.
Interact with client agencies on business matters.
Utilize accounting software to run reports on business activity.
Possess sense of urgency and strong attention to detail to ensure that all deadlines are met accurately and effectively.
Additional responsibilities as assigned by SBS management.
Education Major/Career Interests:
Working towards a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting.
Intermediate Microsoft excel skills.
Exceptional analytical and organizational skills.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively with a team.
